Description: The WSI Development team is currently searching for a professional Software Performance Engineer. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of performance engineering; eats, sleeps and breathes all things performance. The engineer in this position will be our performance team and will require a wide breath of performance knowledge spanning Windows, Postgres and SQL Databases, Network and Systems knowledge. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of video streaming products; must have solid systems level knowledge and performance optimization is critical.
In this position you will develop test scenarios to identify performance and scalability bottlenecks in the development cycle. As the application performance expert, you will set performance and scalability goals at unit and system levels. This is a Leadership role that will resolve blocking issues and make recommendations based on actual measurements, profiling and anticipated impact on end users.
