The WSI Pilotbrief team
is working at a feverish pace on something that promises to
increase the accuracy of pre-flight decision making and the
speed at which you get a briefing. Not to give away too much
but there is a lot of talk about interactive displays and merging
data. Your briefing will be getting personal. Stop by our
Booth (#3973) at NBAA or stay tuned to wsi.com in the upcoming
weeks for the latest developments. |

WSI InFlight and Garmin AT MX20
|
Many of you have had
questions about the impact of UPS-AT's acquisition by Garmin,
and what that means for the MX20 and WSI InFlight combo. Wonder
no more .... According to Gary Kelley, Director of Marketing,
Garmin International, Inc., "Garmin is committed to
supporting the MX20 and CNX80 product suite, and we are pleased
that the MX20 is now fully integrated with WSI InFlight.
WSI has an outstanding reputation for quality aviation weather
briefings and the MX20 is an ideal cockpit weather platform
for customers who expect the best in aviation services."

Traffic at WSI's Booth
|
First things first - WSI categorically
denies it had any control over the weather during Airventure
2003. We know it looked suspicious when a downpour started and
stopped with WSI Director of Aviation Services, Arlo Gambells
presentation on thunderstorm avoidance. The daily afternoon
'cool-offs' that drove visitors into the exhibit halls (and
our booth) raised some eyebrows as well. Bad weather is good
business for an aviation weather company exhibiting its
services, but really - we had nothing to do with it.

WSI Pilotbrief
|
"As an Aviation
Department Manager and a loyal customer of WSI, I pay particular
attention to weather briefing services offered by FBOs. I was
recently surprised to find that a large, multi-facility FBO
that we frequent, switched from WSI to a 'brand X' weather service
provider at their N.Y. base. Since WSI is the industry standard
for aviation weather I question the merits of this decision."

 Neil
Amos, WSI InFlight Dealer and Customer
|
"As a technical person, and
owner of Northern Avionics, it's conservative to say that I
was very anxious and chomping at the bit, looking for an excuse
to try out the WSI InFlight weather system and products. I only
needed some place to go. Well, it just so happened that our
son was on his way home to Norfolk, VA after being stationed
for 5 1/2 months on board the USS Roosevelt as an FA18 Hornet
mechanic. What better opportunity than to fly out to welcome
our son home, and take in the return of our serving Naval Battle
Groups."
