As an Aviation Department Manager and a loyal customer
of WSI, I pay particular attention to weather briefing
services offered by FBOs. I was recently surprised to
find that a large, multi-facility FBO that we frequent,
switched from WSI to a 'brand X' weather service provider
at their N.Y. base. Since WSI is the industry standard
for aviation weather I question the merits of this decision.
When I attempted to obtain a briefing using this brand
X service, I found it to be difficult at best, and the
presentation of data could not compare to that of WSI's
Pilotbrief System. The facility manager's decision to
discontinue WSI as its weather service provider has
led me to obtain authorization from our CEO to use another
FBO on the same field - one that provides WSI.
WSI has the best briefing system by far, and
I will continue to support as my 1st choice FBOs that
provide the Efficient, Accurate, WSI Pilotbrief System.

P.S. At airports that don't yet offer the WSI , we
utilize the WSI's InFlight weather system installed
in our cockpit. This system is always available, providing
the same great text & radar coverage in flight or
on the ground.
