In continuing with a WSI tradition, WSI provided WSI
Pilotbrief weather briefing kiosks to the volunteers
staffing the FAA Temporary Flight Service Station in
Lakeland, FL during this year's Sun 'n Fun Fly-in. Each
airshow season WSI assists in making numerous aviation
events more successful and safe by donating systems
and service to event coordinators and the FAA.
In addition, WSI provided free aviation weather for
the event on our Sun 'n Fun Weather Website. A new tradition
in the making, the 'fly-in' weather website is posted
for major aviation events and provides participants
access to radar, satellite imagery, prognostic charts,
surface observations and area forecasts throughout the
event. Over 1,200 visited the online site this year.
