There have been some changes over the past year on how WSI
processes and disseminates severe weather bulletins. WSI currently
ingests both the Family of Services (FoS) and the NOAAPort (NOAA
Weather Wire) data feeds. Once this data has arrived, they are merged
and broadcast over the HCSN satellite to all customers who receive WSI's
    data feed.

WSI takes advantage of the quickest delivery for all the data, which is also
merged on the WeatherProducer system to populate common data stores.
The difference is that the FoS is slower than NOAAPort, and NOAAPort
has priority on HCSN. Therefore, customers driving their SkyAlert
systems with NOAAPort stand to trigger faster than systems that are being
provided the FoS data feed only.

If you are a SkyAlert customer, you should only be receiving FoS data as
a back-up to NOAA Weather Wire, not using it as its primary feed.
The NOAA Weather Wire should be the primary data feed to all SkyAlerts.

associated data feed, please contact Customer Service at (978) 670-5150.
