WSI will not be providing hurricane animations by FTP site
for the 2005 season. In 2004, Storm Center was made operational
primarily to provide Hurricane products during tropical storm events
and not yet available to our customers, particularly Showfx Hurricane
Tracker animations. This feature is available this year on
all WxPro v4.3 (Dell) and v3.3 (SGI) systems.
Note: Please review the material detailed below
prior to an actual hurricane. In the hours leading up to “land
fall” Support will have an increased call volume and have
limited time to respond to “Hurricane Tracker” how
to questions. After you have reviewed the Tutorials and practiced
setting up a hurricane track, please call Support with any how
to questions during normal support hours.
You can find information on how to create a 3D graphical animation
showing the location, intensity, and projected path of Arlene at
the following online location…

Note: There are two hurricane tracker tutorials, T109
and T110, as well as supporting documentation
You also have all tutorials local to your system off the application
Help menu. Additional online documentation for all of WSI’s
Applications is available at:

Because of expected high call volume related to assisting customers
most immediately affected by the storm, we ask that if you have
questions, please DO NOT call the WSI help desk. Rather,
please send an email message to stormcenter@wsi.com. Include
your name and phone number, and a description of the issues or
problems you are facing. As soon as possible, a WSI representative
will contact you by phone or return e-mail.
