With release of TrueView 2.0 on June 21, 2005, WSI introduced our new leading-edge mesoscale modeling capability that delivers high performance forecasts with an update frequency that is unprecedented in the industry. WSI has been running the RPM operationally since April 2004 in support
of storm tracking efforts for our aviation and energy business units.
Additionally, during the 2004 Hurricane season we made available
to media customers RPM forecasts that captured in high visual quality
the timing, intensity and tracks of hurricanes Charley, Frances, Jeanne
and Ivan. Now, this truly one-of-a-kind forecasting system that is
fully integrated with WSI’s mainline weather analysis and graphics systems.
