Keeping You Informed

WSI disseminates three text bulletins that provide you with important Meteorological information that affects your systems presentation ability. These products are very helpful in alerting you of current/upcoming events.

Three Products:

WSI Urgent Status Messages -- This message notifies users of critical events that have an immediate effect on data delivery or support activities.
WSI Daily Status Messages -- This message covers routine meteorological information that could affect your system
WSI Product Announcements -- This message describes new imagery/data that is going to be disseminated to your system.

If these products are not on your desktop you can check your product library to see if the products are on your system.

To Check the Product Library:

--On the main WeatherProducer window LMB the entry on the top line menu labeled Libary.

--Then from the drop down list select products

--A product library window should appear. In the search window type WSI. This should highlight the first product in the larger file list window that starts with WSI. If WSI is not highlighted. A new set text products will need to be built.

If these entries appear

--WSI Messages
--WSI Urgent
--WSI Daily

--You can load them to your desktop and from there check the configuration to make sure that update on data arrival and alert on update is toggled on ( LMB the Alert Options and toggle on Alert and No Audible signal). If you don't have all three products within the library, you can RMB the product that was there and just copy that product, rename the new product, and modify the
parameters to look at the correct bulletin.

If you didn't have any of the WSI products within the product library, then you will need to build three new text products.

From the main WeatherProducer desktop top line menu, LMB the New entry.

>>Select Product from the drop down menu

>>Select Text ---> Weather Database Text Query

>>Give your product a name WSI Messages / WSI Urgent / WSI Daily

>>Then RMB the new icon that was put on the desktop and select Edit Parameters

>>Select Use List and the LMB the List button

>>Enter KWSI in the Add Station ID window and press enter, then OK

>>Select NWS Text Reports WSI <Messages/Daily/Urgent> Bulletin

>>LMB the Save button and then the update button

>>Once the product updates select Processing --> Change Configuration and set the product to Update on Data Arrival and Alert on Update ( LMB the Alert Options and toggle on Alert and No Audible signal).

>>You can copy the first product and modify the data source and name.
